Why is OUC doing a Light Bulb Fund Raiser?  OUC is a municipally-owned electric utility that believes that installing energy-efficient lighting in a home’s most-used lighting fixtures is among the easiest and best ways to save money on monthly electricity bills.  OUC hopes this Light Bulb Fund Raiser encourages its customers to purchase a few bulbs from local community groups as a fund raiser, and then motivates customers to buy a full range of high-quality, energy efficient lighting products from local retailers. 

How Can My Group Participate?  All community-based, non-profit organizations may register to sell light bulbs to OUC customers.  Groups will earn $2.00 for every bulb they sell. Click on "Here's how it works" to learn more.  To sign up, click Register Online Now> 

The Orlando Utility Commission (OUC), has sponsored this fundraising event to benefit all of their OUC customers. Participating groups should be based within the OUC territories.. Learn about Participating Group Listings>

Timeline.  Here’s how our plans are shaping up:

·         April 2008 - Orientation for all Fund-Raising Group Coordinators to answer your questions about the fund raiser and distribute sales campaign materials.

·          April 21, 2008 (Earth Day) - Sales Campaign will begin and go through until May 31st during which time your group may take bulb orders and collect advance payments. 

              May 31, 2008  - Sales Campaign will end

           June 2, 2008 - All group bulb orders are due from Group Coordinators.

·          June 15, 2008  - Bulbs will be available for pick-up by Group Coordinator.  Full payment is due when you pick up the bulbs. Make checks payable to Market Development Group.

Sales Territory.  OUC is offering this program to benefit its central Florida service territory.  Participating groups should be based in these areas and focus their sales activities accordingly.

Program Materials.  By April 30, all Participating Groups who register will receive:

·         Sales Flyers and Posters similar to those that appear at www.cflfundraiser.org

·         Suggested Sales Script (for you to customize and copy for each of your sales people)

·         Suggested Group Coordinator Script (for you to customize and present to your group)

·         Frequently Asked Questions and Answers background sheets

·         Order Envelopes
